Having a background in science I have spent many hours scouring over research articles searching for reputable sources that are recent, unbiased, and considered "high level research". At the time while in school it seemed like quite the chore to sift through countless articles trying to find the ones that could be utilized to prove a point or to determine the science behind something. Now, I am grateful for this training as it has taught me how to find what is real versus what people may just want you to believe.

Not everyone has a background in science or has been trained on how to search for research that meets certain qualifications to know what can be trusted.

I have compiled a few reputable articles for you to look over if you are interested in why people are increasingly becoming concerned about mold. Each will be linked as a PDF you can download.

If you are unfamiliar with reading research articles a helpful way to get to a quicker understanding of a lengthy article is to find the abstract at the beginning of the article, this will give you an overview of what the purpose of this article is. I also like to read the conclusion to see the full overview of what they found after their research.

If you want to go further and have some background in research, look at the type of research that was conducted and the year it was conducted. The rule of thumb is usually to stay at least within 10 years of todays date to ensure we are staying with the times.

If this sparks your interest and you would like to be able to conduct your own search for research see our other post that helps guide you on what to look for when conducting your search.
